Steam Traps

A steam trap is a device used in steam systems to prevent problems such as ram impact and corrosion. By discharging hot condensate and non-condensing gases such as air and carbon dioxide, the steam trap prevents the efficiency of heat transfer from decreasing. This device retains steam in the system and only passes through the water, so as to prevent the loss of live vapor. Steam traps often include an automatic valve that opens and closes automatically and is installed in key locations such as downstream heat exchangers.

Thermodynamic Steam Trap

A thermodynamic steam trap uses a disk that is influenced by steam pressure to hold steam and discharge condensate. Its performance depends on environmental conditions and is popular for its strength and simplicity.
